Shannon A. Chase, FNP-BC
Shannon Chase is a board certified Nurse Practitioner who has over six years of clinical nursing experience. She recently joined Avenues Dermatology in February 2020 after moving to the Richmond area to settle near her family.
Shannon graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Chronic Illness Minor in 2013 from James Madison University. After graduation, she completed the AANC Nurse Residency program at Georgetown University Hospital in their level 3 NICU. At Georgetown University Hospital she was awarded a clinical scholar after a competitive application process and was part of an elite group of nurses. She continued her education at George Mason University while working as an RN at Georgetown University Hospital and then at Haymarket Pediatrics. In 2018 she graduated Cum Laude with a Master of Science in Nursing and was board certified Family Nurse Practitioner credited by ANCC. Prior to coming to Avenues Dermatology, Shannon most recently worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Haymarket Pediatrics.
Shannon is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Virginia Nurses Association, Nurse Practitioner Society of Dermatology, and Dermatology Nurses Association.
